The latest addition to our happy little Go 96.3 family is our afternoon-show DJ Reed, who left his native home of Detroit to move to the Twin Cities in February. Now that he’s all unpacked, Reed is starting to explore his new home city, and all of the exciting activities we have to offer.
Revival. I’ve heard tales of this place. In fact, when I moved out to Minnesota back in February, one of my friends from back in Michigan even knew about this place and asked me if it lived up to the hype. Well, let me weigh in on that. YES. Holy shnikes this place is a gem!
I walked in to the South Minneapolis location and was immediately surprised by how small the place was. That didn’t bother me in the slightest, because the aroma coming from every-which direction already had me excited. I took a look at the beer menu and ordered a Modist Dream Yard (on of my instant Minnesota favorites).
Next up…what the hell do I order from this menu? Almost everything sounded amazing! Sitting at the bar and watching the food orders come out didn’t help either, because not only did everything sound amazing, it also looked amazing. There was a giant chicken/waffle-looking sandwich masterpiece, and another massive chicken sandwich where the chicken didn’t even come close to fitting on the bun (which is a good thing)!
I ended up getting a two-piece chicken dish, traditional style, with coleslaw, and the cheeseburger with the house bacon. Let me tell you…this place may be known for it’s chicken, but the burger competes with some of the best I’ve had. The chicken was juicy and delicious, the coleslaw was it’s own special type of amazing, and, well…yeah, the burger was incredible. It may have taken me a whole 60 seconds to devour the thing.
All in all, I plan on many more trips to Revival. Especially to try those chicken sandwiches that I’ll continue to dream about. THUMBS UP AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
