Alternative Rock legends AWOLNATION will have some killer new music to show off at GoFest ’18. With the launch of their chart-topping new album Here Come The Runts, Aaron Bruno and company are getting ready to storm back to the stage in 2018, and GoFest ’18 will be one of the Midwest’s first chances to see them perform this year. While AWOLNATION’s danceable, industrial-tinged roots are still firmly intact on songs like “Passion”, Runts finds Bruno expanding the scope of his songwriting into wistful social commentary on “Handyman.”
Don’t let the British-sounding name fool you, The Neighbourhood are 100% US-grown indie superstars. Hitting it big with “Sweater Weather” in 2012, the band’s intoxicating mixture of punky performances and smooth, R&B-infused pop has made them favorites on the summer festival circuit. Their new, self-titled album is barely a week old and is already stirring up buzz, thanks in part to their infectious lead single “Scary Love.”
Los Angeles indie-pop trio Lovelytheband already had a deafening buzz before they even made it out of the garage, thanks to their charming and relatable hit “Broken.” Frontman Mitchy Collins, formerly of folk-pop band Oh Honey, has retained all of the winning songwriting of his previous projects with a revved up new sound that makes nods to ’80s icons and EDM.
Combining the manic energy of an all-ages emo show with a cloudy, thoroughly modern rap sensibility, San Diego’s Love in Future Times, aka L.I.F.T. are the latest signing to Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy’s Decaydance Records. Check out these “Dead Kid$” debut music video for their song “Cassette Tapes.”
