Go 96.3 is thrilled to welcome a new member, Christy Taylor, to our team. Christy will serve as Go 96.3’s Assistant Program Director, Music Director, and also host middays (1oam-3pm) on Go 96.3.
5 Facts about Christy:
Well, it’s all happening in just 3 days. This Monday at 10am, I will do my first show on Go 96.3!! I’m definitely excited, but also a little nervous. I know it will be great though, and I hope over time we get to know each other better. To get things started, here are 5 fun facts about me:
5. Dogs – They are happiness
I love dogs. It is my belief, that dogs are the best people. I mean, how can you not smile when you see a cute dog? They are happiness, and spread happiness wherever they go. Don’t even get me started on those big hearted service dogs; helping the blind, those with seizures, PTSD, depression, and more. Dogs are truly amazing.  I am a proud fur parent to Bubba the Bulldog. I rescued him about 6 years ago from the Southern California Bulldog rescue. #AdoptDontShop

Showing some love for my Bubba on #NationalPetDay. 💗🐶

4. Home – I’ve lived a few places

From the first fact I shared with you, you might have realized, I lived in Southern California. But, that’s not where my story began. I grew up in the suburbs of NYC, about 10 minutes north of the Bronx, in a little town called Ardsley. The only reason you might have heard of it is because both Mark Zuckerburg and his sister Randy went to high school with me, there. After my time in downstate New York, I moved upstate to go to Ithaca College. After college I moved to Binghamton, than Albany, than I was off to San Diego, California, before finally  ending up here in Minneapolis! Yes that’s right, I briefly lived here in Minnesota back in 2015.  I actually was in Minneapolis to help launch Go 96.3 in 2015.  I was only in the Twin Cities for about 90 days, but I surived a Minneapolis winter, as I started in January. After my time in Minneapolis, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona, for about 3 years. Now I’m back in the Twin Cities and I could not be more excited!

Goodbye Minneapolis – I will miss you. 😘✌🚘📦🐶💃🎶

3. Adventures – I love to live life
Get out and live… that’s my favorite advice to give. I do my best to practice what I preach. You can find me out boating, hiking, camping, horseback riding, and most importantly traveling. I love to see the world! At this point I’ve been to 31 states and 13 different countries. If you were to ask me about my favorite trips, I would say, Egypt, India, and Greece. In that order. I’m fascinated by seeing how other people live, and engaging in new experiences. Plus, I’m really into ancient cultures and I got to see the pyramids, the caves at Elephanta Island, and the Parthenon! Basically, I haven’t been everywhere yet, but it’s on my list.

Just a typical Tuesday in Egypt. 💁🏻🌍🎯🐪🙌🏼 #wanderlust

2. Concerts – My favorite way to pass time
It’s hard for me to say what my favorite show of all time was. I am lucky enough to go to about 1 concert a week. But I can tell you what my favorite festival is Life Is Beautiful, in Las Vegas. Lollapolooza is probably second on that list, followed by Coachella in third place. But like I said, I love Life Is Beautiful. The location in Downtown Vegas is amazing, and there is so much to see and do when you aren’t at the festival. The art on the buildings and set up all over the festival grounds all enhance the experience in ways that must be seen and lived. The food trucks are always amazing. But most importantly, the lineup is always full of bands I love. I highly recommend Life is Beautiful, and if you can afford VIP, it’s worth it. I’m such a big fan of Life is Beautiful, I’ll be back there in September 2018! It will be my 4th Life is Beautiful experience. I’m kinda obsessed. Let’s go to a show or festival together!!

1. Go – The first show and Fest
Probably the most fun fact about me and Go 96.3 is I booked the first Go Show and the first Go Fest!!! I’m sure proud to have contributed to Go’s legacy and even more excited to start planning our next awesome show. But  before that happens I hope to see you at Go Fest ’18 in just 2 weeks. Memories will be made, drinks will be had, and great music will be heard!
