During the spring Fashion Week MN (FWMN) event lineup, local designers, models, producers and stylists showcased on both traditional runways and experiential displays. During last Friday’s mixer event, we caught up with some of the stylish ladies who worked behind the scenes to bring the multi-day event together.
Jahna Peloquin, who co-founded FWMN in 2015, said event producers apply each season with ideas and potential partners listed out. “Then we sort of put the week together based on what we think shows a good cross-section of what represents Minneapolis fashion,” Peloquin added.
For fellow co-producer and event planner, Sarah Edwards, it’s all about bringing people together. Edwards said talent is widespread throughout the city in fields of both art and technology, and “Fashion Week is a way to serve as a platform to connect people.”
Networking and collaboration guided the hip FWMN mixer held at The Lynhall’s rustic Ambleside room last week, as local tastemakers filled the room, connected, and sipped on handcrafted cocktails. During the free social event supported by The Lynhall, Dentistry by Design, W Minneapolis and The Creative’s Counsel by Reece Law, L.L.C., Go Radio sought out five fashionable looks for spring style inspiration.
