Another week, another dazzling new Rhymesayers Entertainment single as the Minneapolis label continues their tremendous 2018 hot streak. The latest – and perhaps most unsettling – clip comes from Aesop Rock and his new project with producer TOBACCO, delightfully titled Malibu Ken.

Behold “Acid King.”

While the last Aesop Rock full-length, 2016’s critically acclaimed The Impossible Kid, featured Aes behind the boards for the entirety, Malibu Ken will feature the sinister synths of TOBACCO at the helm, allowing Aes to weave his words through an entirely new tapestry.

The “Acid King” video, directed by Rob Shaw, goes from beauty to beastly as the tension in TOBACCO’s synths rise. While we don’t necessarily recommend watching the viscerally intense clip while eating Thanksgiving dinner, we do highly recommend checking the clip out for all other avenues for conversation over the holidays.

Malibu Ken’s album drops January 18.
