Since Atlanta hip-hop legend and D4L member Shawty Lo was killed in a car accident, tributes have been pouring in. So many touching sentiments, even from one-time adversaries like T.I., showed just how much the mid-’00s rap star was truly loved.

The highest profile nod to Shawty happened when Beyoncé’s Formation Tour pulled into Atlanta’s Georgia Dome. During a performance of “Diva” from her 2008 album I Am… Sasha Fierce, the track was suddenly and smoothly mixed into Shawty Lo’s biggest hit “Dey Know” as the Atlanta hip-hop loyalists went wild.

Shawty Lo’s funeral will be October 1 at Atlanta’s Jackson Memorial Baptist Church.[/embed/[/embed/
