We’re less than 24 hours removed from our #BFGS and it’s almost surreal how big and fancy things truly were. A full day of great artists performing their best song in perfect weather, what more could one want? Here are our five takeaways.
Big Festival Go Show
Sunday wasn’t just a great concert that happened to be outside. From the food trucks to the skateboarders to the community-party vibe, it was all the fun of a giant music festival in one fun-size city street.
Big Fanatical Go Show
And when we talk about the community-party vibe, we talk about the community. Whether fans were rapping along with every word to Bobby Raps‘ Mark, echoing “Free Minds” with GainesFM or bouncing to Blackbear, the most devoted of listeners helped make every set special.
Big Fancy Go Scrupulous
#BFGS featured every single announced artist performing on-time without incident. Feel free to notify Guinness.
Best Friends Go Strong
Adding to the day’s community vibes were special guests like Allan Kingdom and Dwynell Rowland rocking the mic during Finding Noyvon‘s set, reminding us of the fun unpredictability that makes major music events so fun.
Big Fancy Giant Show
Vince Staples is one of the most in-demand festival performers in the world, and Wiz Khalifa, alongside our own DJ Bonics, knows how to turn out a larger-than-life party in front of Earth’s biggest crowds. Seeing them back-to-back in the middle of downtown Minneapolis was simultaneously an intimate and larger than life moment, making #BFGS an unforgettable night.
