A holiday mash-up for the entire family, The Hip Hop Nutcracker, a contemporary re-imagination of Tchaikovsky’s timeless music.

The Hip Hop Nutcracker is an modern twist on a holiday classic performed by a supercharged cast of a dozen all-star dancers, DJ and violinist. Through the spells cast by the mysterious Drosselmeyer, Maria-Clara and her Nutcracker prince, travel back in time to the moment when her parents first meet in a nightclub. Digital scenery transforms E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story of sugarplums into 1980s Brooklyn. The Hip Hop Nutcracker celebrates love, community and the magic of New Year’s Eve.

Special guest MC Kurtis Blow, one of hip hop’s founding fathers, will appear as the special guest MC. This production is directed and choreographed by Jennifer Weber, artistic director of the Brooklyn based theatrical hip-hop dance company Decadancetheatre. It was adapted to contemporary New York City by Mike Fitelson, executive director of United Palace of Cultural Arts (UPCA) and includes hip-hop interludes remixed and reimagined by DJ Boo as well as an on-stage electric violinist.

UK indie-pop powerhouses Bastille will headline Go 96.3’s Snow Show ’18!

Snow Show is our annual winter music festival, and this year we’re proud to showcase a diverse lineup of national and local artists that represent the best in Modern Alternative.

Go 96.3 is proud to be independent and locally owned, and we handpicked our lineup to reflect the wide range of sounds you’ll only find on our station. That’s why we’ve invited Bastille, LANY, Albert Hammond Jr. (The Strokes), and local champs Last Import to perform at this year’s Snow Show.

Go 95.3, Go 96.3, Audi of Minneapolis, Audi of St. Paul, McDonalds, Firefly Credit Union and National Camera Exchange are proud to present Snow Show ‘18 at Palace Theatre on Wednesday, November 28th. Tickets will start at $29.96 for this all-ages show.

Tickets will go on-sale Monday, 10/8 at 10am, but #GoFam members will have early exclusive pre-sale access. You can also stop by the GoMN offices to buy a ticket starting Monday. If you plan to buy a ticket in-person, bring cash or credit and come any time between 10 a.m.-4p.m. on Monday through Friday.
