Calvin Harris’ “Feels” might be the English-language song of the summer, and now Harris is cementing its timelessness with a brand new video that harkens back to all the classic, brightly-light television performances of the 70s.
It’s a great aesthetic, and makes collaborators Pharrell, Katy Perry and Big Sean look dazzling. From the sequins to the hair, to the canned ’70s studio audience applause at the end, the video just clicks.
A far cry from the stylized ’40s postcard motif of the original “Feels” video – which as of press time has over 150 million views on YouTube – the new clip truly showcases the track’s musicality. Plus, it really allows us to see what Harris, the track’s producer, can really do on the bass.
