Did you enjoy Get Out? Go see Us right now. Did you never get around to seeing Get Out? Go see Us right now.

I’m treading lightly here because I don’t want to spoil a thing, and if you’ve seen the trailer you know how many questions this film is going to give you. I caught the critics’ screening on Tuesday and it’s been swimming in my head ever since. The performances are tremendous, the pacing of the plot is remarkable, and I have so many images of so many shots permanently burned into my mind.

The tension is genuine. No jump-scares, just an increasingly creepy, brooding atmosphere. Director Jordan Peele‘s perfect comedic timing still shines through, creating massive laughter in the handful of comic relief moments.

Top-to-bottom it’s an engaging, satisfying, compelling film.
