Where can I find Go Radio at The State Fair?

Go Radio will be located right next to the International Bazaar in the Fairgrounds’ southwest corner at the corner of Judson Ave and Cooper Street. Check out our map below  if you need a visual aide!

Can I buy Go Radio merch at the Fair? 

You sure can! Go 95.3 and Go 96.3 will have a wide variety of merchandise available for purchase in our tent, from pop sockets to exclusive new t-shirt designs, and so much more!

Can I charge my phone with Go Radio?

Yes! State Fair attendees will be able to charge their phones at our Firefly Credit Union charging stations, which will be located directly in front of our DJ Booth.

What are the dates of the fair?

The Minnesota State Fair is always 12 days of fun ending Labor Day. The 2018 fair runs Aug. 23 – Sept. 3. In 2019, join us Aug. 22 – Sept. 2, and in 2020 visit us Aug. 27 – Sept. 7!

How much is admission to the fair?
Pre-fair discount admission tickets can be purchased for just $11!

What are the hours of the fair?
The fairgrounds are open from 6 a.m. to midnight (10 p.m. on Labor Day). Admission ticket booths are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. (9 p.m. on Labor day). Most exhibits are open at least from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Does the State Fair offer refunds on admission or Grandstand tickets?

No refunds are issued for State Fair admission or Grandstand tickets. In the event that a Grandstand concert is canceled, however, refund instructions will be posted on the fair’s website.

Can I leave the fair and re-enter?

During the State Fair, if you leave the fairgrounds, get your hand stamped when you exit. Then, you can re-enter the same day during the hours the outside gates are open without purchasing another admission ticket. The outside gates are open from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily (9 p.m. on Labor Day).

If you park on the fairgrounds and leave the lot, you must pay to re-park your vehicle when you return.

Can I bring in a backpack, bag or cooler?

Backpacks, bags and coolers are permitted on the fairgrounds, but are subject to search. Please note there are no lockers or a bag check at the State Fair. PLEASE NOTE: Coolers are not permitted at the Grandstand or in the Warner Coliseum.

Can I bring food and drinks onto the fairgrounds?

Fair guests are welcome to bring outside food and drinks. No alcoholic beverages may be brought into the fair.

Can I bring my camera to the fair?

Guests are welcome to bring cameras to the fair; however, audio/video recording of performances on free entertainment stages is prohibited. For Grandstand performances, audio/video recording is not permitted, and still photography may be restricted by the artist(s). Contact the Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office with questions about a specific Grandstand concert at (651) 288-4427. GoPro cameras are prohibited on all rides at the Minnesota State Fair, even if the camera is fastened to a harness or other device intended to hold the camera.

Media, production crews and individuals interested in shooting with tripods or equipment other than standard point-and-shoot cameras during the fair should refer to the fair’s photography and video footage guidelines.

What other items are prohibited at the fair?

The Minnesota State Fair’s security program includes bag checks at all entry gates. Bags, purses, coolers and packages will be subject to search at each of the State Fair’s 11 entrances. Prohibited items include weapons, fireworks, alcoholic beverages, drones and bikes/skateboards/skates/hover boards. Other items may be refused at the discretion of State Fair management or police.

Where can I find an ATM?

During the State Fair, ATMs are located throughout the fairgrounds and noted with a “$” on the State Fair map. A $3 service fee applies to all transactions, and you may be subject to additional surcharges depending on your banking provider.

Bremer Bank is located in Visitors Plaza and is open from 7 a.m to 4 p.m. daily during the fair.

Can I use a credit card at the fair?

The Minnesota State Fair Ticket Office, all admission gates (with the exception of Canfield Street, Gate #14) and the ticket booths for Mighty Midway and Kidway rides & games accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Select merchandise and food booths also accept debit/credit cards.

NOTE: On-site parking must be paid with cash.

Where can I find a baby changing station?

Most restrooms on the fairgrounds have baby changing stations. See the State Fair map for restroom locations, or stop by a State Fair Information Booth and ask for the location of the nearest baby changing station.

Where are hand wash stations located on the fairgrounds?

Hand wash stations are available at many entrances to buildings in the livestock areas, including Compeer Arena, Cattle Barn, Cattle Annex, Sheep & Poultry Barn, Swine Barn and the CHS Miracle of Birth Center. Hand wash stations are also located in the Food Building. These stations are noted with a “W” on the State Fair map.

How can I stay hydrated during my time at the fair?

Fair guests are welcome to bring their own water bottles, as well as outside food and drinks to the fair. No alcoholic beverages may be brought into the fair. PLEASE NOTE: Coolers are not permitted in the Grandstand or the Warner Coliseum.

Water fountains are located throughout the fairgrounds. Water bottle refill stations are located in the Coliseum, Eco Experience, the restrooms south of Kidway on the west side of Cooper Street and at the restrooms on the north end of the fairgrounds on the south side of Murphy Avenue. To find locations, stop by an information booth.

Where are the designated smoking areas on the fairgrounds?

For the comfort and safety of all, designated smoking areas have been established at convenient locations throughout the fairgrounds. Smoking (including use of electronic cigarettes) is permitted only in these areas. Each designated smoking area consists of a bench and receptacle to safely deposit spent cigarettes. Designated smoking areas are identified on State Fair maps, which are available at all information booths.

Where can I find an information booth?

During the State Fair, information booths, sponsored by CenturyLink, are located throughout the fairgrounds. Look for the “?” on the State Fair map. All booths are open at least 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pick up free daily schedules, maps, a variety of brochures, complimentary sunscreen, identification wristbands and more.

Does the State Fair have storage lockers?

The State Fair does not have lockers or a bag check. If you would like to leave the grounds to access your vehicle, just get your hand stamped when you exit. You can then re-enter the fairgrounds that same day during the hours the outside gates are open without purchasing another admission ticket.

Where can I get complimentary sunscreen at the fair?

Play it safe in the sun all day at the fair with free sunscreen available in dispensers at each information booth. Protect your family’s skin with SPF 30 Vanicream sunscreen, safe for everyone from birth and older. Where is the Lost & Found?

During the fair, Lost & Found is located south of West End Market on West Dan Patch Avenue. Lost & Found is open from 8 a.m. to midnight (11 p.m. on Labor Day). Contact Lost & Found at (651) 288-4555.

Is there Wi-Fi on the fairgrounds?

During the fair, free Wi-Fi service is available in a hotspot located at the west Grandstand plaza. This service is provided by DragNFly Wireless. Look for the bright green umbrellas! In addition, free Wi-Fi service also is available at the Xfinity booth located outside the FAN Central exhibit on Underwood Street, south of Dan Patch Avenue, R24 on the State Fair map.
