Here’s a bizarre track that definitely exists. Fat Joe is back kicking his street style, he’s aligned with Dre and a post-Soundset energized Lil Wayne for a record that abruptly samples Marvin Gaye. Behold “Pullin.”

Joey Crack is heavily channeling his Da Gangsta era, and the “white girl” puns are flying like it’s 2006 again. The stylistic choice to have the “Let’s Get It On” sample pop up and disappear with the smoothness of a parking break is really peculiar, but somehow it all works!

For your hip-hop and sound collage playlists, “Pullin” looks to be a summer mainstay.  The track comes from Joe’s forthcoming Family Ties album which still doesn’t have a release date.
