Every Wednesday at 10am, Go Radio will be taking you behind the curtain at the biggest concerts and events in the Twin Cities and bringing you exclusive, one-on-one interviews with your favorite artists, creatives, and celebrities. Let’s Go Backstage!

Local luminaries Hippo Campus got their start at a St. Paul performing arts high school but have quickly outgrown the friendly confines of the Twin Cities thanks to their polished, charming indie-pop songwriting. Their 2017 full-length Landmark was released to near-universal acclaim, and the band has followed it up with the cinematic single “Passenger.”

Go Radio caught up with Zach and Nathan of Hippo Campus backstage to talk about the band’s favorite pre-show snacks (a combination of Gushers and Fruit Roll-Ups), the emerging local artists that they can’t stop listening to, and the legacy they hope their band leaves.
