Get ready to party like it’s 2014!
J. Cole took to Twitter last night to announce that the recording sessions for the latest entry in his Dreamville compilation series have officially started! One of the more endearing elements of Cole’s rise to stardom has been his ear for talent and willingness to spotlight up-and-coming artists. This was best exemplified in his Dreamville compilations, whose installments helped kickstart numerous national indie rap careers in 2014 and 2015.
News of the sessions spread quickly through shared flyers from the artists involved. Right now, in addition to Cole, Revenge of the Dreamers III is confirmed to feature Bas, Cozz, Ari Lennox, Reason, Zeke, Christo, and EarthGang.
J. Cole’s manager revealed that the entire project’s recording sessions are set to be completed in Atlanta in just ten days from January 6 through January 16.
No word yet on the project’s release date, but it is expected to be sometime in 2019. Between Revenge of the Dreamers III, Cole’s own forthcoming mixtape The Off-Season and album The Fall Off, 2019 looks to be quite the Cole world!
