Year of the Migos continues with “Slippery,” the trio’s first pool party of the summer.

It’s Cinco de Mayo, the first weekend of May, so let the Migos and Gucci Mane invite you to their summer opener “Slippery.” Migos are on top of pop culture and Gucci’s celebrating one year as a free man still in impeccable shape, with sharper lyrics than ever. Thus, “Slippery” feels like an appropriate celebration.

While the video is shot to make it seem like these collaborators were at no point remotely near each other during the filming, their combined energy unites them. Also uniting them is some of the most blatant product placement in post-YouTube rap video history, with the vape and alcohol brands ensuring this clip never gets played on MTV. Regardless, we’re happy Migos got some more money in their pockets so they’ll keep throwing shindigs like this all summer.

Gucci Mane also popped up to rap today alongside Future for the remix of Maroon 5‘s “Cold.”

Lil Yachty’s new video “Bring It Back” shows 19-year-olds have nostalgia too.

J. Cole sits in the director’s chair to share his thoughts on a scene from his new documentary 4 Your Eyez Only.

NEW RELEASE FRIDAY: today we have new projects from Brother Ali, Logic, Russ and Organized Noize.

– It’s a big day for underground hip-hop singles too with new tracks from early Eminem-influencer Thirstin Howl III and east coast wrecking ball REKS.

Like reading the List? You can hear it too. Listen to Go 95.3 every weekday at 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
