Kendrick Lamar hops on Future’s “Mask Off” at the height of its popularity for the best remix verse this year.

Future’s “Mask Off” is arguably 2017’s biggest rap song, and Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. is the biggest rap album. It’s rare hip-hop has a moment of these sorts of zeniths colliding, but here we are.

Kendrick’s verse sounds like it was recently written and recorded, making it something of a victory lap for his tremendous 2017 success. In addition to showing his wide arsenal of flows, perhaps the sharpest line is “How y’all let a conscious n**** go commercial while only makin’ conscious albums?”

There’s few moments where the fast-moving world of hip-hop gives us a star-aligned smash that will someday serve as the perfect time capsule of an era, and the “Mask Off (Remix)” already feels like such a track. It’s an instant classic.

G-Eazy linked up with 9th Wonder (Little Brother, Murs, Jay-Z‘s “Threat”) for his new track “Maximum.”

2Pac and Lil Uzi Vert are together at last via this amazing mash-up.

Travis Scott declares he’s ready to enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after performing “Goosebumps” a record 15 times in Cleveland.

Wiz Khalifa lights upStay Stoned” his marijuana-themed remix of Childish Gambino‘s “Redbone.”
