When a standard remix wouldn’t suffice, Wiz Khalifa rolls up with the “Weedmix” of Drake’s ‘Passionfruit.’

If you needed a great new track before spending a weekend with your buds, Wiz Khalifa has got you covered with his smokin’ take on Drake’s “Passionfruit.” Whenever Wiz releases a track, his fans tends to have high expectations. To be blunt, it’s pretty great! There’s been no word from Drake about the track, but we imagine the release was a joint decision.

Khalifa refers to being called “The New Snoop” on the track but his now prolific weed-theme productions might make him the new Dr. Dre as well. This “Passionfruit (Weedmix)” follows Khalifa’s “Pull Up With a Zip,” his 420 friendly take on SahBabii’s “Pull Up Wit Ah Stick.”

Our own DJ Bonics shared his thoughts on the remix, telling us “He even surprised me with this one.” He went on to talk about the remix’s nuances, adding “I like that he always takes a different approach to the flow on the remixes rather than capturing the sound of the original. But him kinda just teasing us at the end with the chorus flip was another surprise.”

Khalifa’s Rolling Papers 2 is due out later this year. No word if it’s going to be subtitled Rolling Papers 2: Roll Harder, but a kid can dream, right?

Calvin Harris, Future and Khalid also have a new track for those interested in a different type of “Rollin‘.”

Nicki Minaj popped up on two new tracks today as well, DNCE‘s “Kissing Strangers” and Jason Derulo & Ty Dolla $ign‘s “Swalla (After Dark Remix.)
