One of hip-hop’s indie-ground cornerstones, Blueprint has reemerged with “Masterpiece,” the latest offering from his forthcoming album Two-Headed Monster due out this month. “Masterpiece” features both the MC/producer’s knack for structuring an emotive engaging soundscape, as well as the vivid wordplay that paints a picture of a slice of life as only Blueprint can.

A longtime local favorite, going back almost two decades to his work with Slug, Eyedea, Sage Francis and others as part of the short-lived supergroup The Orphanage, as well as releasing his own Rhymesayers projects both as a solo artist as well as one-half of Soul Position with RJD2, Blueprint’s Two-Headed Monster looks to fall right into that classic-underground shelf, boasting features from Slug, Mr. Lif, Aceyalone, Supastition and Has-Lo. Two-Headed Monster drops May 22.
