Go 96.3 is proud to introduce our new show Local Ties, hosted by the hometown heroine Claire de Lune and Go 96.3’s DJ extraordinaire, Jordan.
For one hour every Sunday night, you can hear the best that Minnesota music has to offer, from established artists to brand new bands fresh from the garage.
Local Ties will air at 10pm on Sunday nights starting this Sunday, March 31st. We hope the show can be a conduit for our Go Fam to connect with the Twin Cities’ diverse kaleidoscope of local music!
Meet your hosts:
Claire de Lune
An accomplished singer/songwriter, Claire de Lune was awarded the title of “Best Female Vocalist” in the 2015 Best of the Twin Cities issue of City Pages and has experimented in many musical genres throughout her career. From acoustic beginnings, to hip-hop/ RnB as a member of all-female hip hop collective The Chalice (with Go 95.3’s Sophia Eris) to today; with her current role as front-woman for electronic dream-pop project tiny deaths (who have gotten nods from publications like Billboard, The Guardian, AV Club, and Stereogum). De Lune currently splits her time between Los Angeles and Minneapolis.
Jordan was born, raised, and still resides in his first home in New Brighton. He got his start in music when he started his own DJ company back in college because tuition and books aren’t free. But he isn’t a one trick pony, Jordan is the only person on the Go 963 staff that can actually play musical instruments — piano, guitar, and trumpet.
Besides playing bangers for you on the radio, Jordan loves spending time with his cat, watching TV, playing video games, reviewing frozen pizzas, just doing whatever. He is a regular at the Target Center for every Minnesota Timberwolves game and he loves the foodie scene, especially in northeast Minneapolis.
