Sunday’s Made in America festival, the annual Budweiser and Tidal Labor Day supershow, promised quite the end to the summer’s festival season. In addition to J. Cole and The Chainsmokers, headliner JAY-Z deviated from his standard stadium show to go deep into some b-side and soundtrack cuts, and even brought out Meek Mill.
Mill’s hometown of Philadelphia would have presumably given him a hero’s welcome regardless, but having Meek take the stage to perform his trademark “Dreams and Nightmares Intro” while JAY-Z played, as Complex put it, “the most overqualified hype-man in the world,” made for a magical moment.
It marks the end of a big holiday weekend for Mill, who appeared in Rick Ross‘ “Lamborghini Doors” clip on Friday and dropped his own video for “Save Me” late Sunday.
