The new beverages are joining 27 returning drinks and over 300 brews and beverages on the docket this August, with something from everyone.

From fruity ales, wine cocktails, frozen concoctions, baked good-flavor brews, veggie-infused beers and naturally – at least one with bacon!

Many of the new flavors coming your way are fruit-flavored and are perfect as you soak in the last weeks of summer at the fair. ‘The Shandlot Mixed Berry Shandy’ from Bauhaus Brew Labs just screams summertime, with a berry shandy and a clever name play on the Sandlot. If you’re looking to cool down at the fair, there are a variety of fruit wine slushies and frozen Grain Belt Blue and Schell’s Sangria toppers on any Schell’s brews to keep you cool and refreshed.

If you like baked goods and beer – there is a few beers giving you the best of both worlds! Cake, cookies, pie and funnel cake, oh my! The new ‘Lemon Meringue Pie Ale’ from Lupulin Brewing Company with curbs those dessert craving! The ‘Cake’d Up Celebration’ Beer returning from last year is particular eye catching – this slightly hopped, deep-fried, cake-flavored beer coming from Mankato Brewery.

Best named go to – the ‘People Watcher’, ‘ the ‘Crop Duster Lager’ and ‘Berry Manilow’. We all know you’re more likely to give a new drink a try when the name catches your eye. These beverages do just that . . . who wouldn’t want to try Surly’s ‘Four Seam Screamer’.

Regardless what route you take, you can’t go wrong with any of these Minnesota-made beverages that are bound to go down easy with all your favorite fair foods!
