The Prince Estate has just green-lit another traveling tribute to The Purple One, with a close-collaborator and fanatic at the helm. The Roots‘ drummer Questlove (or ?uestlove – if you’re nasty) will oversee and conduct 4U: A Symphonic Celebration Of Prince which will reimagine a plethora of entries in the Prince catalog as performed by an entire orchestra: the Wolf Trap Orchestra to be exact.

According to Prince’s Estate, “4U will present the music of Prince like never before, with a full orchestra … highlighting many of his greatest hits alongside lesser known gems.” Given that the sole Prince song that Questlove spun at the first Soundset after party following Prince’s death in 2016 was this one, we trust those deep cuts will be going extra deep.
