This week’s recap begins with my birthday week!

There has only been one time in the last six years that I wasn’t on the road for my birthday and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every celebration gets bigger and better, and this one happened to be one of my favorites!

It all started after Toronto, we headed to DC to play two sold out shows at one of my favorite venues in the country, The 9:30 Club! ( they have really great chocolate cupcakes that say “9:30” with chocolate frosting that come with the greenroom and they’re BOMB.) During the second show, the girls surprised me right in the middle of our performance of “En Love.” During my rap, they snuck up behind me as a group with a sushi cake and had the crowd sing me “Happy Birthday!” It was so sweet! When the clock struck midnight that night, it was officially my birthday!

We partied in the green room and traveled to Boston where we officially had the day of my birthday off! For my birthday, the girls acted like they already had plans and were more than likely not gonna be able to celebrate any further. BUT THAT’S NEVER THE CASE! Our tour manager texted me saying I had to get my ears checked and had to meet in the lobby at 2:30 where I would be transported to a clinic. That clinic was actually a park where they were hiding with food, drinks, a soccer ball, airbrush artist, and CUSTOM JERSEYS! It was my very own soccer park paint party! TEAM SOPHIA was poppin’ all DAAAY! It truly ended up to be one of the best birthdays ever.

After that amazing day we continued to wrap up the first leg of our North American tour with our final 2 sold out shows in Boston and New York! Both were incredible and I’m more than proud of how amazing this team is. We’ve grown so much in quantity and quality and it leaves me nothing but optimistic! THE EUROPEAN TOUR IS NOW LIVE IN EFFECT!! Can’t wait to share our journeys across the pond with you next week!
