Atlanta rap icon T.I. has made his politics much more visible over the last year.
As the Obama Administration draws to a close, the “Rubberband Man” has opted to publicly share his admiration for our 44th President with a pretty fantastic sendoff letter.
In it, he shares what he knows about that impact Obama made over the past eight years with a heartfelt gratitude.
“As I reflect back on my teenage years when I heard my favorite rapper and person, Tupac Shakur, tell me we weren’t ready for a black president, leaving me in nodding in agreement until you brought US the audacity of hope and reminded US that yes we can,” he writes in the letter, posted in full at The New York Times. “As you transition out of office, we continue to watch you carry out your final agenda with precision, integrity and purpose.”
