This season of AMC‘s The Terror goes to a place-and-time long overlooked in the genre and television in general. Taking place in the 1940s American Japanese internment camps, the unflinching realities of history meet the unsettling presence of horror for one of the season’s most entrancing shows.

Go 95.3‘s Chaz Kangas spoke with one of the stars, Christopher Naoki Lee, about working on a show that deals with such a disturbing time period, the line between inclusion and exploitation and what he learned acting alongside George Takei.
