After a 2017 that saw him cast in Spider-Man, Star Wars and Disney‘s The Lion King franchises, my NYU roommate Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino has big plans for 2018, straight out of the gate. Emerging last night, we officially have a trailer and release date for the second season of his acclaimed FX show Atlanta, which has been subtitled Robbin’ Season.
Said to be inspired by Tiny Toons: How I Spent My Summer Vacation, the new season will follow the separate adventures of Atlanta‘s cast, during the week between Christmas and New Years when the city’s crime rate spikes. Atlanta: Robbin’ Season premieres March 1 at 9:00 p.m. CT on FX.
If you still need your Gambino fix before then, Glover is set to perform at the 60th annual Grammys on January 28. Don’t look for much before then, however. He’s also going to be pretty busy on daddy duty, having recently confirmed that he just dropped his second child.
– Eminem and Phresher attempt to make things right by having 2 Chainz on the “Chloroseptic” remix.
– Dance robot not included, Justin Timberlake has announced his 2018 Man of the Woods North American tour dates.
– We’ve been getting goosebumps every time we read Travis Scott is actively trying to recruit Stevie Wonder for his next album.
– Proving he’s an All-American inspiration Joey Bada$$ candidly revealed he was the source of Kanye West‘s “Real Friends.”
