When Cardi B raps about “money moves,” she absolutely backs it up. In the same week that she became the first female hip-hop artist to top the Billboard 100 without a feature in almost two decades, Cardi also made a splash on network television alongside G-Eazy for his track “No Limit” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
G-Eazy brought all the frills with him, from the black-and-white tint of the screen to the bevy of back-up dancers. Once Cardi walks out in the red and black (bloody?) coat, it’s as if a style-bomb went off. Cardi’s performance here also effectively silences the skeptics who doubt her ability to rap live.
G-Eazy’s next album The Beautiful and the Damned drops later this year. Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon was so excited about the prospect, he hugged G-Eazy over it.
