You can always count on J. Cole to count it up for us.

Today, coinciding with the release of his new album K.O.D., which we have for you here, J. Cole reaffirms what a Cole world this is by dropping his new video “ATM.”

Co-directed by J. Cole and Scott Lazer, the Hype Williams-esqe clip is a scathing indictment of capitalism and the endless pursuit of money and material goods. The cartoonish exaggeration keeps things fun and light, but Cole’s ultimate statement about what’s important remains powerful.

No word yet on when the next clip from “ATM” will arrive, but there’s a lot to unpack here to keep us busy for quite a while.

– In her latest money move, Cardi B chatted about everything from baby names to life after stripping on Ellen.

– In addition to her forthcoming new album Dirty Computer, Janelle Monae has a sci-fi short film on the way.

– Our hero Joey Bada$$ has returned, this time appearing in Flatbush Zombies‘ new clip “Vacation.”

– Just in time for 4/20, Khalid is joined by Ty Dolla $ign and 6lack for “OTW.”

– New Music Friday doesn’t stop with J. Cole, as we’re also blessed with a surprise new EP from Curren$y as well as a new live Nas album.
