It’s been just over 18 months since Logic blessed us with his original “44 Bars.” A watershed moment for the rapper, it marked the start of his ascension into full-fledged crossover mainstream phenomenon. Now, after the life-changing success of his Grammy-nominated smash “1-800-273-8255,” Logic has returned to his fire spitting roots with “44 More.”
Released at midnight, Logic absolutely goes in. Covering everything from his stamina to hypothetical fatherhood and letting his punchlines range from the Energizer Bunny to Guardians of the Galaxy’s Star Lord, Logic covers pretty much all the ground he’d left untouched since the release of his most recent album Everybody. However, his mention of outselling Katy Perry and Harry Styles in his first week of release has lead to a backlash from the two artists’ fandoms online.
“44 More” caps off a busy week for Logic. In addition to officially being certified 4X Platinum, his extensive Rolling Stone feature covers what a wild ride this past year of his career has been.
– Also dropping today is Chime, the latest album from Dessa of Doomtree.
– Post Malone has officially released his new Ty Dolla $ign-assisted track “Psycho.”
– Not one contestant on Jeopardy! yesterday knew Kendrick Lamar, this clip proves they have no royalty inside their DNA.
