Year of the Migos continues with the trio’s latest heater, “Too Hotty.”
Before you ask, yes, the title comes from early 2000s fan-favorite WWE wrestler Scotty 2 Hotty. “Scotty 2 Hotty” – presumably after Saint Scotty 2 Hotty who drove the worms out of Ireland – is repeated several times throughout the song.
But what Migos have here are things one would never find in a wrasslin’ ring, namely huge stacks of cash and a blowtorch. All three exchange verses written from a post-Culture perspective, including bragging about the talk show appearances and the money that comes with it.
The track comes from Quality Control‘s forthcoming release Quality Control Presents: Control The Streets Volume One.
– There’s more Migos fun to be had as Offset appears on London On Da Track’s posse cut “No Flag” with Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage.
– Busta Rhymes‘ new track “Girlfriend” serves up Jamaican vibes with Vybz Kartel and Tory Lanez.
– JAY-Z will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live‘s season 43 premiere with host Ryan Gosling on September 30.
– New Music Friday brings us an absurd amount of new projects from A$AP Mob, Action Bronson, Grieves, Lil Uzi Vert, Wiki, Buddy and Brockhampton.
