Last weekend’s Saturday Night Live with host James Franco quickly turned into a celebration of SZA. From Franco’s monologue quickly turning to special surprise guests Seth Rogan and skinny Jonah Hill discussing their love of SZA, to her two show-stopping numbers, it was an SNL Christmas gift early.
The third T.D.E. member to grace the stage at 30 Rockefeller Center, SZA and company absolutely brought it for “Love Galore” that boasted a choir having the time of their lives, and a melting rendition of “The Weekend.”
It caps off a very busy year for SZA. After her album Ctrl was nominated for five Grammys, she performed last week at Pandora’s Sounds Like You and reflected on all 2017 has brought her. Hopefully this means a Grammy performance, with the same choir from SNL, will be on the way.
– According to Pharrell, the new N.E.R.D. album is going to be “political.”
– We can all rest easy knowing that Forbes has once again named Diddy the highest paid musician of the year.
– Harlem gets that much closer to London as Skepta debuts a new track with A$AP Mob leader A$AP Rocky.
– Just in time to keep your diet #based, Lil B debuts a cooking show called Food Makes Me Happy.
