The good folks behind the Great Minnesota Get Together just dropped the first wave of musical performers for this year’s State Fair activities, and we’re so excited that we can practically smell the cheese curds and horse manure right now!
For fans of classic alternative, this State Fair 2018 is already looking promising, with a dual-headlining performance from Nebraska reggae kings 311 and pop-punks The Offspring teaming up at the Grandstand on Friday, August 31st. The bill has been further spiced with special guests Gym Class Heroes as well, and we know what you’re thinking: “That sounds better than riding your bike with no handlebars,” to which we say “That was Flobots, not GCH, you pleeb.”
The other Grandstand shows that have been announced run the usual gamut from country to classic soul, and are listed below.
4/23: Nial Horan
4/26: Earth, Wind & Fire with Sinbad
4/27: The Beach Boys with The Righteous Brothers
4/28: Jazon Mraz with Brett Dennen
4/30: Impractical Jokers
9/3: Boy George, Culture Club, The B52s and Thompson Twins
