If 2018 has given us anything amidst all of the depressing news coming out of Washington, it’s the positive affirmation that yes, Dave Grohl and Beck are really cool dudes. They showed up as the surprise guests of honor at a backyard fundraiser for political nonprofit Swing Left last night in Los Angeles and rocked out with a little help from LA indie band Bird and the Bee.

Beck’s longtime bassist and musical partner Justin Meldal-Johnsen had a hand in arranging this star-studded session, which saw Beck and Grohl performing “Where It’s At.” If that sounds rad, just wait until you see the wild drum solo Grohl threw on there (because, of course he did).
