Proving once again that they’re as big of fans of pop music and culture as anyone in the biz, British hypemonsters The 1975 stopped by the BBC1 Radio Live Lounge today to film an in-studio cover of Ariana Grande’s zeitgeist-seizing and meme-creating “thank u, next.”

Always ones to zig where others might zag, The 1975 have given the track a ’90s neo-soul feel, aided substantially by a cadre of backing singers that give 1975 vocalist Matty Healy a gospel-like lift.

Also, scope Matty’s thoroughly-relatable fumbling of his lyric sheets for the song midway through the clip. Don’t worry Matty, we stan clumsy kings here at Go 96.3.
