Indie hypemonsters The 1975 have finally confirmed the release date of their forthcoming A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships for November 30th this week, and to coincide with the news, the band released the jazzy album cut “Sincerity is Scary.”
While “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME” made a nod to Drake’s tropical house waves and “Give Yourself a Try” was nervy and guitar-driven, “Sincerity” pays homage to the warm, organic feel of neo-soul. With a horn-and-piano driven beat that sounds like Baduizm by way of The Head on the Door, it’s fun to hear frontman Matty Healy playing around in a new sandbox.
– Gorrilaz have come through with another excellent video for “Tranz.”
– Go Show alumni Flora Cash have been tapped as an artist to watch by Pandora!
– Smashing Pumpkins have dropped another new track, this one is called “Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)”
– Rejoice! Red Hot Chili Peppers have begun work on a brand new album!
