The world was deeply saddened this week with the loss of deeply influential Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winning author Toni Morrison. Celebrated for capturing so much of the human experience and hardship through an uncompromising black lens, her impact on generations of writers and readers cannot be overstated.
Here’s a sampling of the massive outpouring of love she’s received. She was 88.
“We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language. That may be the measure of our lives.” Toni Morrison. I’m deeply sadden to share that one of our greatest writers and minds in American History, Toni Morrison, passed away at the age of 88. May God Bless Her Soul. pic.twitter.com/Dq1UL4ENIY

i love that Toni Morrison is dominating my timeline right now
I wish I’d been more informed of her and her writing prior to today.
That’s on me.
We don’t know how much time we have left. Let’s commit to getting ahead of the curve and finding this world’s beauty before it’s gone
