Summer in the Twin Cities is the best, but it’s honestly a little bit overwhelming trying to pick between all the block parties, music festivals and lake trips. That’s why I’m introducing Where’s the Fiesta (WTF)? There’s so much to do and so little time, so here are my picks for where to party and what to eat this weekend.

Here’s what’s happening:

Lakefront Music Friday (July 13th @ Lakefront Park)

This is one of the only and one of the biggest outdoor music festivals in town. It’s two days long, with Friday’s lineup dedicated to rock and Saturday’s centered around country. Jam out all Friday night with some of Go 96.3’s favorite artists, COIN, The Revivalists, and headliner Young the Giant. Make sure to say hey to our friend, Jordan, he’ll be emceeing Friday’s events. Tickets are $40 for GA and $125 for VIP (or bundle up and save, when you buy tickets for both nights).

Twin Cities Bacon and Beer Classic (Saturday, July 14th @ CHS Field)

Prepare yourself for 100+ beers from regional breweries, 30+ bacon dishes from local chefs, a blind beer taste test, the Hormel® bacon eating contest, lawn games, music, and even more surprises on the field. Tickets range from $55-99 and are sold in three or four-hour increments (12-4pm for Afternoon or 5-9pm for Evening). Each one includes unlimited bacon dishes and craft beer, with higher tiers giving you access to the Securian Club overlooking the field, more exclusive beer options, a pork belly tasting, and a DONUT WALL.

4 Years of Awesöme (Saturday, July 14th @ Bauhaus Brew Labs)

Happy Birthday, amigos! Cheers, to four years of making quality brews and bringing awesome people together – and, of course, for always encouraging crazy outfits and supplying good tunes. This fiesta will be no exception. Expect adult tricycles, inflatables and LOTS of dancing, thanks to help from DJ Stepmom and Greg Koch. And you better be on the dance floor by 8:30pm, sharp, for my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE (DON’T YOU DARE EVER MISS AN EVENT WITH THIS) party band, Viva Knievel – who, by the way, pair especially well a Sky-Ten (that’s Bauhaus’ super hoppy IPA with the highest alcohol content – pace yourself – #WTF).

Did I miss something? Probably. So fill me in! What are you up to next weekend? Send me a message or find me on social @giselleugarte.
